How Free is Free
Wednesday Feb 04, 2015
Wednesday Feb 04, 2015
Sin is bondage, Christ is freedom. People sign up for and
retain bondage more readily than the freedom that comes through Christ. There
is an old adage that states “sin will take you further than you want to go,
keep you longer than you want to stay, and cost more than you want to pay.” A
person who doesn’t know Christ is in bondage. The truth is the only thing that
can make you free. May the truth of God’s word set you free.

How to Leave the Presence of Jesus
Wednesday Jan 28, 2015
Wednesday Jan 28, 2015
When a person encounters Jesus Christ there are two ways in
which they will react. They will either believe in Him and accept him as a
savior, or they will reject him and continue on in iniquity. As a Christian you
should carry away from an encounter with Christ life and life more abundantly.
You should also carry Christ to others and offer them that same life but how
they leave that encounter is up to them. May God help you choose wisely.

Watch Your Mouth
Wednesday Jan 21, 2015
Wednesday Jan 21, 2015
The words that leave your mouth can be used to build or
destroy. Some of the biggest hurts we receive in life come from words that
others may speak against us. When you hold a knife or a gun you always pay attention
to the dangerous part. Shoudn’t we also treat the destructive power of our
words with such careful precision? May the peace of God help you to mind your words.

As Your Faith Goes So Go You
Wednesday Jan 14, 2015
Wednesday Jan 14, 2015
To the Christian faith is of the utmost importance. However,
your faith must be in Christ and not merely in faith in and of itself. Your
faith in Christ is what sets the tone of your personal relationship to the Lord
of the Word. You may desire to avoid a problem but God would rather you go
through and increase your faith in Him. Which is more miraculous riding a boat
or walking across a parted sea on dry ground? May God bolster your faith daily.

According to His Purpose
Wednesday Jan 07, 2015
Wednesday Jan 07, 2015
We should rightly divide the word of truth and not misuse
the scripture. Never take a promise from the word of God out of context. Some
would use Romans 8:28 to decree that you shouldn’t be dismayed at difficult
times. It is a comfort to those who are going through difficulty but don’t ever
trivialize someone else’s pain and suffering. If you suffer in Christ comfort
yourself in knowing that there is a purpose and a reason even if you don’t know
why. Knowing that there is a purpose should be a comfort to those who are
called according to His purpose. May God bless you.
